Oy

Just got back from a thrift store over on Lincoln and Halsted in Chicago. Children's Memorial White Elephant or something like that. Look what I found peaking through a bunch of ugly stuff! Too bad it's 4 inches too long...I'm getting so frustrated I just might give up on my dresser search.

Only four inches? That's painful! My heart goes out to you.

oh my god! I've been telling myself that I should get over to the White Elephant to look for a dresser - I work a few blocks away from there. It's a great resource which I often bypass. Now I am resolved to go today! Another place I have been meaning to try is the Broadway Antiques Market, which is further north.
Anyways, rough luck on the four inch thing. I share your pain!

I should add that the money at the White Elephant goes to a really good cause - people donate their old stuff there and when it is purchased the money goes to the children's hospital which is down the street.

Oh that is a good cause, I didn't realize. Definitely check it out on your lunch break or something! But be warned, that dresser was the only good one I saw. They did have some cuter smaller items though.

Please let me know how Broadway antiques is if you go. That's definitley on my list to check out.
